BOSSES at Worcester City are set to meet behind-closed-doors with shareholders next week ahead of the vote on the club’s future.
A meeting restricted to the club’s backers and City’s directors will be held on Thursday, June 30, at The Whitehouse Hotel at 7pm.
City have confirmed papers for the general meeting, which will give shareholders the chance to change the ownership model of the club on Thursday, July 7, have been distributed.
And a spokesman from the Blue and Whites said the aim of the “informal discussion” was to give shareholders the opportunity to talk over “the proposals” put to them and ask the board any questions.
The private talks will take place a week after Worcester City FC Supporters’ Trust have unveiled their plans to shareholders in an open meeting.
The trust are aiming to make City community-owned as they believe it will help the club stay afloat and push ahead with efforts to build a stadium at Perdiswell Park.
