EXPERIENCED striker Steven Craig and returning forward Jordan Murphy are among a treble signing swoop for Worcester City on the eve of the new season.

Former Motherwell and Aberdeen front-man Craig, 35, and ex-City loanee Murphy, 20, will be in tomorrow's squad to host Harrogate Town in the Vanarama National League North opener along with centre-half Sam Oji.

Winger Murphy, released by Walsall in the summer, has agreed terms after a trial at rivals Kidderminster Harriers and has enjoyed successful temporary spells with Worcester over the past two seasons.

West Lothian-born Craig, who is 5ft 11in and a likely replacement for the recently-released Kyle Perry, played for Dumbarton and Forfar Athletic last season after 69 appearances for Wycombe Wanderers in the Football League.

He has also featured for Falkirk, Motherwell, Aberdeen, Dundee, Livingston, Ross County and Partick Thistle in Scotland but has moved to the Manchester area to run a coaching business.

Oji, 30, made 28 appearances for Irish club Galway United last season following two campaigns at Limerick.

The 6ft 1ins former Arsenal youth defender played in the Football League for Doncaster Rovers, Bristol Rovers, Leyton Orient and Hereford United as well as in Sweden for Ljungskile SK and for City's Midland rivals Tamworth in non-league.

City take on last season's play-off challengers Harrogate at their new groundshare base of Bromsgrove Sporting's Victoria Ground tomorrow (3pm).
