City (4-2-3-1)

4 Ross – An afternoon to forget for the young West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper, whose blunders led to two Harrogate goals after spilling floated free-kicks from Joe Leesley.

6 Gallinagh – A steady defensive display from the former Bath City right-back, who has played a vast amount of games in his career and added experience to City’s youthful defence.

7 Hutchison – Wore the captain’s armband on his first league start since returning to City and was unlucky not to keep out Harrogate’s opening goal with a block which bounced into the far corner.

6 Sharpe – Another steady performer at the heart of Worcester’s defence and competed well against Harrogate’s experienced front duo. Still gaining an understanding with his centre-back partner Hutchison.

6 Keane – The young left-back looked lively, particularly going forward, and was keen to join the attack when City looked to spread the play. Was scythed down in the first half when in full flight.

7 Fitzpatrick – An encouraging competitive debut from the Mansfield Town teenager, who was solid throughout and set up City’s second goal with a cross from the right.

7 English – Started slowly on a sweltering afternoon but grew into the game and helped City keep their shape as Harrogate, at times, kept possession and looked to stretch the hosts.

6 Murphy – Needed treatment from the physio after taking a nasty kick to the ribs early on and covered plenty of ground but seemed to struggle to stamp his authority on the match.

7 Steele – The youngster possesses plenty of pace and caused problems for the visiting defence when he ran directly at them. Looks a decent prospect and not afraid to use his strength.

7 Nelson-Addy – A livewire going forward who, on a couple of occasions, linked up neatly with Steele. Set up the late chance for substitute Bishop who should have wrapped up the points for City.

8 HUGHES – A wholehearted performance from the veteran striker who scored twice and had a couple of opportunities in front of goal. Kept his cool after conceding three quick-fire free kicks in the first half.
