VERSATILE Jordan Keane has earned a move to National League North outfit Boston United after a spell at Worcester City last season.

The ex-Stoke City youngster impressed during his time at City as he filled in at centre-back, full-back and central midfield.

After City failed to avoid relegation, the 23-year-old and his brother Cieron Keane joined Jamie Vardy's V9 Academy this summer which aims to unearth non-league gems.

Boston boss Adam Murray felt the leadership qualities of Keane who has also played for Alfreton Town and Nuneaton Town would benefit his side next season.

"Jordan is the type of player we have been holding out for," Murray said.

"He's a defender who we feel is competitive, dominant but can also play.

"He has been captain a number of times so he brings a leadership quality to the group.

"Jordan was chosen from the non-league elite to attend the Vardy Academy, which upped his standing in the game.

"He has had a lot of interest over the summer but he has chosen to join our project which is very pleasing from our perspective."
