Worcester City (4-4-2)
7 Gwynne – was rarely troubled in between the sticks before stepping up to the mark with a fine save late on.
6 Weir – had been suffering with a bruised knee in the lead up to the match but City’s skipper put in a solid display.
7 M Smith – came under pressure at times but did enough to see off the danger as City hung on for the win.
6 Khan – went close with a header before his afternoon was cut short when he hobbled off with a knee injury.
6 Griffiths – Daventry made inroads down his flank in the first half but produced a superb last-ditch block to deny Kieran Fitzgerald.
7 Birley – looking in good shape, the winger was neat and tidy on the ball and worked his socks off when he was not in possession.
7 Birch – a dogged showing from the midfielder who won several challenges and helped put his side on the front foot.
8 HAYWARD – in what was a scrappy game the home-grown ace showed his class with some nice touches and well-timed tackles. My City man of the match.
6 J Smith – provided the cross for Reynolds to score but City had more cutting edge when he was replaced by tricky winger James Baldwin.
6 Reynolds – was in the right place to head home the only goal but missed a golden opportunity to settle the contest late on.
6 Hughes – a frustrating afternoon for the striker who twice slotted home but both goals were disallowed and picked up a needless booking at the death.
