WORCESTER City will not appeal the red card issued to defender Wayne Thomas during Saturday’s 1-1 draw with South Normanton Athletic.

The 38-year-old made his return to City following a spell as manager of Rushall Olympic but was dismissed for raising his hands to an opponent in the 44th minute.

Following a review of the footage, joint-boss John Snape confirmed there would be no attempt to overturn referee James Lunn’s decision.

It means Thomas will serve a three-match ban, starting with Saturday’s FA Vase clash with Sherwood Colliery that signals the second game of striker Mark Danks’s three-match suspension.
