FOOTBALL secretary Kevin Preece has vowed to deliver an AGM for Worcester City’s shareholders after accepting an invitation to join the club’s board.

Preece, formerly a director of Worcester City Supporters’ Trust, highlighted the need to unite the homeless club with the independent fans’ group.

"I have accepted the board’s invitation and primarily want to try to bring back together the trust and club by opening up a positive dialogue,” said Preece.

"Once I have my feet under the table and have gathered all of the information from the recent past and current situation, we as a club must arrange an AGM to address the shareholders.

“Finally, I want to continue to push the commercial side of the club which could always be improved.”

The appointment, which is subject to the standard FA ratification processes, will see Preece join chairman Anthony Hampson, Mark Wilcox, Martin Pinches and Colin Layland as directors.
