TODAY'S scheduled trip to Heanor Town is the latest Worcester City fixture to be postponed.

The match fell victim to wet weather this morning, meaning City have completed just two of seven scheduled outings, one which has been arranged twice, in the past five weeks.

City should have started December with a return fixture at Stourport Swifts but the home side's continued involvement in the FA Vase saw it moved to December 12.

The match at AFC Wulfrunians and the second attempt at going to Walshes Meadow were wiped out by snow followed by the cancellation of the home meeting with Shawbury United due to a frozen pitch.

Haughmond away went ahead on Saturday, December 23 with a 4-0 win for City followed by the thrilling 3-3 home draw against landlords Bromsgrove Sporting on Boxing Day.

But since then, the return against Bromsgrove on New Year's Day and now today's clash at Heanor have been given the thumbs down due to rain.

Next up for City is a home clash with Lye Town on Saturday, January 13 (3pm).
