WORCESTER City joint-boss John Snape will not allow “panic” to colour today’s team selection at Rugby Town (3pm).

City succumbed to a first home Midland League Premier Division defeat of the season against promotion rivals Sporting Khalsa last weekend in spite of fighting back from 4-0 down in a 5-3 defeat.

Snape refused to rule out team changes against Valley but insisted his picks would be made based on the challenge ahead.

“It will be business as usual as we look to get back on it,” said Snape. “I expected a positive reaction in training this week and got one.

“No one could complain about being left out but we will look at this game in isolation. It is important not to panic.

“As you get to the back end of the week you start to focus more on the positives from the last game. We scored three goals in the second half against Khalsa and probably should have had more.

“What happened defensively cost us dearly and we know we cannot afford for that to happen moving forward.”

Striker Mark Danks could be a doubt having had a severely swollen and bruised foot assessed by medics during the past week but otherwise Snape anticipates travelling with a full squad.
