THE report on Worcester City’s finances has been delayed after the club amended a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) prior to signing.

City sent back the NDA to Nick Igoe, the Supporters Direct financial expert tasked with carrying out the independent review on behalf of the trust, on Tuesday.

Igoe has since highlighted tweaks to the document that need ironing out before the trust is happy to proceed with talks set to take place after Easter.

“Nick wanted clarification and replied to them about the changes made to the NDA so we will chat to the club next week,” said the trust’s acting secretary Rob Crean.

“It is back with the club now. Until that gets signed off Nick cannot get to work so the quicker that happens, the better.”

City director Mark Wilcox said; "We sent back the NDA to Supporters Direct. Our understanding was that it would be between us and them.  "It is our version of an NDA. I have spoken to Dave Wood (trust chairman) and it may end up being a three-way agreement between us, the trust and Supporters Direct.  "It is with the trust at the moment and we are waiting for them to come back to us. They seem to be happy in principle.

"There is an opportunity to progress things and it is all amicable."

The trust is paying for the report, expected to contain recommendations without disclosing specific figures, which will be made available to the club.

“There is no point us just keeping it to ourselves,” Crean added.

“We will be making it available to the board and should they wish to, they could make it available to the shareholders but that would be down to them.”

The trust held its annual general meeting (AGM) on Tuesday with approximately 40 members in attendance.

“It was a good turnout,” said Crean. “We gave members an update on the Perdiswell appeal and the financial report Nick Igoe is going to do for us.

“There was a chat about next steps but only when the Supporters Direct report comes back can we offer it to members and take any of those forward.

"The reason we got the report commissioned was to get the basic information required to make any decisions.”

There were two changes to the trust’s board with Luke Cox unanimously voted on and Jack Hundley, City’s press officer, standing down as announced in January.

“Luke has been studying sports business at university and working with Supporters Direct and Wembley FC. He will be valuable to us with his background,” said Crean.

Wood, vice-chair Julian Pugh, Rich Widdowson, Mike Davis, Neil Cox, Gavin Warr, Ken Johnson and Bosko Medakovic all remain on the trust’s board. Jem Pitt stays on as a co-opted, non-elected board member.

No one has stepped forward to replace Crean, who announced his intention to stand down in January, as secretary.

He is set to stay on an interim basis until a successor is found with the trust keen to hear from anyone interested in taking on the post.

Meanwhile, City’s football secretary Kevin Preece confirmed applications to play in next season’s FA Cup, FA Vase and FA Youth Cup had been filed with the ground share arrangement to follow once received.
