WORCESTER City have completed the signing of goalkeeper Jimmy Dormand for next season.

The 6ft 4ins former Red-ditch keeper has agreed terms with the St George’s Lane club for the 2011/12 campaign.

He will be one of two players manager Carl Heeley wants in his squad to create competition for the position.

Tim Sandercombe, out since November with a knee injury, and Dean Coleman, who finished last season between the posts, have both been invited to pre-season training in a bid to win a place.

Heeley, though, is delighted to have secured 24-year-old Dormand, who impressed against City for Redditch in a goalless Blue Square Bet North draw in January.

The Worcester boss said: “He played a handful of games at Redditch last season but because of business couldn’t totally commit but that has changed.

“It was an area we were looking at and I am pleased to get him because I really rate him.

“I will have two keepers hopefully challenging for that jersey. You can’t really go with one so it will be down to merit.”

Dormand, a former Bir-mingham City trainee, has also had spells with Hales-owen Town and the now defunct Bromsgrove Rovers.

He becomes City’s second signing in a matter of days following the arrival of former Leamington striker Luke Corbett.

Meanwhile, the club has announced its first family season ticket for the new season. If bought before June 30, they cost £175 for one adult and one child or £330 for two adults and up to three children.

The Georgie Dragon Club has also been revived and costs £10 for under 16s. Mem- bership includes £6 off a team shirt as well as a free pin badge and signed team photo.
