TEAMS are being sought to bolster the Worcester and District League's Saturday division.
Currently, only 10 sides are signed up for the 2008/09 campaign following the withdrawal of Pershore Manor Rovers, who have applied to join the Stratford League.
Teams will play each other twice as well as compete in two cup competitions throughout the season.
However, the league's committee is still interested in hearing from any new sides that would like to join.
Only last year the Saturday division, which has been in existence for 115 years, was under threat due to a lack of teams but was saved following an article in your Worcester News.
The 10 teams definitely lined up for the 2007/08 campaign are: Martley Spurs, Hallow WMC, FC Tything, West Malvern, Hanley Swan, Upton Town, Grosvenor Sports, University of Worcester, VBL Sports and Worcester YMCA.
Meanwhile, six new teams have applied to join the Sunday league, which is made up of five divisions, but more sides are welcome.
Anyone interested in applying for either the Saturday or Sunday leagues can contact secretary Graham Russell on 01905-453863.
