TWO Worcester League Division One games were declared void as the competition ran out of time.

But the games pairing champions Rainbow with Eagles and Barflies would have had no impact on the title race.

Runners-up Wyre were the only serious challengers for most of the season.

Meanwhile, 83 people attended the 75th anniversary dinner at Worcestershire CCC.

Former players had travelled from all over the country to attend and were warmly welcomed by president Colin Mapp.

The after-dinner speaker was Colin Addison, former manager of Hereford United, while the league's star junior, 11-year-old international Michael Siket, was praised.

The president presented Beryl Shammon with the Frank Southam Memorial Trophy for her efforts in organising the dinner.
