SARAH Biles has become the latest member of Kidderminster's Samurai Judo Club to make a breakthrough at international level after winning bronze at the Portuguese Open in Lisbon.
Biles travelled to the event, her first as a member of the England squad, more for experience than in expectation of a medal.
But, once on the mat, her determination and fitness coupled with excellent skills proved a winning combination.
The 15-year-old is a pupil at King Charles High School in Kidderminster and started judo at the Samurai club five years ago.
She is one of the hardest-working players, training and coaching regularly.
