TWO of the British Basketball League's form teams meet on Saturday night when Worcester Wolves host Everton Tigers at the University of Worcester (7pm).

Wolves have won their last four games to strengthen their position in the final play-off places, while Everton are comfortable in sixth spot following four wins in their last five matches.

Great Britain international Richard Midgley led the way with 27 points as Tigers won 123-90 when the teams met in January.

But it was Worcester who established an early 32-15 lead in that match as James Life netted 17 first quarter points.

Wolves' coach Skouson Harker said: "They kicked us good last time and beat us by around 30 when we had a real off-night. But we won the time before that and I think it should be a close game.

"The teams are similar in that we both have guards who can score 30 points on any night."

With Worcester having won 92-79 when they traveled to Merseyside in November, both teams will go into Saturday's game knowing that the winner will get the key head-to-head decider between them. Wolves' recent good run has meant that coach Harker is quietly confident that his side have hit form at the right time for the play-offs.

He said: "We played well against Scottish Rocks and we're coming together at the right time to build some momentum for the play-offs.

"We need to solidify our play-off spot."
