WORCESTER Wolves have teamed up with the city’s Spire South Bank Hospital.

Wolves’ players will receive care and support from Nadim Aslam, a leading consultant orthopaedic surgeon, throughout the season.

The University of Worcester’s sports therapy students will also get learning opportunities as part of the deal.

The team have an established relationship with Spire South Bank Hospital but this is the first formal agreement between the parties.

Hospital director Simon Milner is excited at the partnership.

He said: “Wolves have enjoyed tremendous success in recent years and are fast becoming one of the UK’s leading basketball teams.

“We are delighted to be sponsors of a team involved in this exciting and upcoming sport. The team is a great asset to the city and we will continue to provide a high standard of care to players who need us.”

Mick Donovan, managing director for Worcester Wolves, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have the support of Spire South Bank Hospital and clearly there are significant and re-assuring benefits for the team.

“The opportunities that are being afforded to our students at the university clearly enhance their experiences on the sports therapy course and make this partnership even more worthwhile.”
