WORCESTER Wolves head coach Paul James has challenged his team to keep their momentum going as they bid for a third straight victory.
The University of Worcester-based side are riding high following wins over Plymouth Raiders (84-80) and Everton Tigers (76-67).
They head to Southend-based Essex Pirates tonight (7.30) looking to continue their run and climb the British Basketball League table.
James said: “This is the first time we will be seeing Essex Pirates since we re-grouped in December, but I understand that they are a big, athletic team.
“Preparations for this game have gone well and we are keen to keep our momentum.”
The Pirates pulled away from the league’s basement with a 79-75 victory over Plymouth Raiders last Sunday, just 24 hours after a 95-83 home loss to Everton Tigers.
Coach Tim Lewis, whose side lost 78-71 at Wolves in October, said: “Paul James knows this league better than anyone and has put together a competitive group of guys.”
