WORCESTER Wolves’ BBL play-off hopes suffered a major blow with a narrow defeat at top-eight rivals Worthing Thunder.
Thunder were led by former BBL player-of-the-month Reggie Bratton, who had 27 points to his name, while French forward Harry Disy replied with 21 for Wolves.
The game featured lots of twists and turns as Wolves led 27-21 at the end of the first quarter, 47-40 after another 10 minutes and 62-59 heading into the final period.
But a late Thunder burst saw them come to the fore late in the game to secure a valuable 86-84 victory.
Alongside Disy’s effort, Danny Gilbert contributed 19 points, Kastysis Normantas 13, Rod Middleton 13 and Modestas Sidlauskas eight.
