WORCESTER Wolves Under 15s defeated Ilkeston Outlaws 80-75.
Max Whittle top-scored with 27 points and six rebounds, while Josh Gray scored 15 points and hit 10 rebounds.
Whittle and Matt Dunwell opened the scoring in the first quarter and the teams traded baskets until Wolves gave away silly fouls to allow Ilkeston into a 17-13 lead.
Wolves fell apart in the first five minutes of the second quarter and Ilkeston took control.
However, Matt Ford and Dunwell then gave Wolves a much-needed burst of energy from the bench and a Whittle three-pointer gave the city side a one-point lead at the end of the half.
That lead was increased to 10 going into the final stanza as Gray scored 10 points and Chris Fowler produced his best performance for the team.
Ilkeston closed the gap in the final quarter but Wolves kept the scoreboard ticking over to win the game 80-75.
Tom Reading also chipped in with 13 points.
