THREE key Worcester Wolves players are in talks over returning to the club next season.

Richie Gordon, Tommy Freeman and Arnas Kazlauskas have all been offered deals by the British Basketball League side.

With Sherrad Prezzie-Blue and Carlos Fernandez already signed up, director of basketball Paul James is taking steps to retain the starting five who led Wolves to their highest finish of third in the championship.

Although no decisions are expected in the immediate future, James hopes the trio will commit themselves to the University of Worcester-based team.

American duo Gordon and Freeman both enjoyed fine debut campaigns, which also saw Wolves reach the cup semi-finals, with the former named in the BBL team of the year.

James said: “I have made them an offer to return next season and they are considering that but I am hopeful they will stay.”

England international David Watts and Callum Jones have also expressed an interest in staying and James will talk to them once he has heard back from the others.

Meanwhile, Wolves have signed a sponsorship deal with Worcester Audi.
