WORCESTER Wolves want four points from this weekend's British Basketball League double header against Bristol Flyers and Glasgow Rocks.

Paul James' side are enjoying their best spell of the season to date and have risen to second in the table on the back of a four-game unbeaten run.

They will be bidding to extend that sequence at the University Arena tonight (7.30pm) against a Bristol side who knocked them out of the BBL Cup last month, before travelling to Glasgow Rocks on Sunday (5pm).

Despite their lofty position, James expects more from his team and has warned them against taking two victories for granted.

He said: "We are on a bit of a run and that comes with its issues of guys potentially getting a little bit complacent.

"Even more so now we've got to focus and concentrate on what we need to be doing and keeping players on their toes rather than thinking we've won some games and just need to show up.

"That's not the case, we've had to fight tooth and nail for every win we've had.

"Hopefully we can come through this weekend with some points, if not four points.

"It’s fantastic to be at the top end of the league table but we will need to perform to our best to stay there."

Bristol's shock 90-82 triumph at the arena on October 31 was the last time Worcester tasted defeat and was also an indication of the Flyers' threat.

The league newcomers enjoyed an impressive start to the season with four wins from five matches but have since gone off the boil with three defeats in their last four fixtures.

They have also been rocked by the loss of influential guard Doug Herring, who has been ruled out for at least four months with a knee injury.

Herring scored 32 points in the cup success but James is still expecting Bristol to provide a stern test.

He said: "It's a humongous loss for them - he had 32 points against us - but by no means can we take them lightly because I think they are a solid team."
