WORCESTER Wolves are determined to set the record straight when they make the long trip to face Glasgow Rocks in the British Basketball League tomorrow (5pm).

Wolves’ second visit to Scotland this season follows a 99-96 over-time loss at the Emirates Arena in November.

Head coach Paul James claimed his side were the architects of their own downfall and insisted they won’t be making the same mistakes again.

He said: “The last time we were up there, it was an over-time game. They won it with the last shot and I felt we beat ourselves in the end.

“We had opportunities to put them away but didn’t and we paid for that. I’m not saying it’s revenge but it’s a game we certainly want to make amends for.

“It will be an early start in the morning but we’ll get up there in plenty of time and make sure we get a good warm-up and hopefully get the job done.”

Wolves aim to build on last Sunday’s 66-58 victory at Durham Wildcats, which kept them second in the table behind Newcastle Eagles.

“We are still there or thereabouts and, should Newcastle trip up, we are going to be there,” James added.

“All we can do is continue to win the next game in front of us and try to keep a bit of pressure on Newcastle, which we are doing along with Leicester. We need to win our own games and we’ll see where we are at the end of the season.”

The match is also a re-run of last season’s BBL Trophy final, which Wolves won 83-76 in Glasgow.
