WORCESTER Wolves kept up the pressure at the top of the British Basketball League with a thrilling 90-87 victory at Sheffield Sharks.
Josh Cameron impressed on his Wolves debut, finishing with 20 points to give his new side the lead inside the final minute.
Perris Blackwell top scored with a game-high of 21 points and added 14 rebounds in a full 40-minute effort, while Ashton Khan also hit 20 points.
Worcester had made a strong start to lead 19-12 during the opening period, before the home side rallied and a 13-2 run in the second, capped by a Mike Cook triple, made it 37-27 in the hosts’ favour.
The double-digit advantage was cut to four in the third quarter as Cameron and Jay Couisnard combined for 19 points. A 10-2 run in the fourth completed the turna - round and set up a tense finale.
Sheffield went up by three, only for Blackwell to tie the game with a three-point play and Cameron to net the go-ahead triple followed by a quick two. Cook’s attempt to force overtime rattled out
