Jackman will make his Wolves debut against Leicester Riders on December 11 in an important league match at the University of Worcester Arena.

Jackman said: “I am extremely excited for the opportunity to win silverware in my own country, that's the dream, and the reality is that they are working towards that at Worcester."

Jackman has an impressive pedigree with a college career in the USA at NJCAA Division 1 Seminole State in Oklahoma for two years, before transferring to Oklahoma City University, where he spent a further two seasons.

He was included in the Great Britain senior squad for the first time in 2013, having previously featured for the GB under 16s and 20s in European competition.

Jackman then signed for German Regionaliga side, Iserjohn Kangeroos for two years, where he led them to the play-offs for promotion to Pro A in 2015 as their player of the year and averaged 15.9 points per game and 8.1 rebounds.

Despite his absence recently from the UK during the regular basketball season, Jackman has enjoyed a high profile as a leading figure in the prestigious Midnight Madness competition and has been a role model for youngsters in his home city of London.

Wolves managing director Mick Donovan said: “There are many qualities Orlan will bring to Worcester as a person and a player and it is significant that a very talented UK player has opted to play in his home country’s professional league."
