WORCESTER Wolves’ announcer is set to take to the big stage after being selected as host for the upcoming Women’s BBL Trophy final at Birmingham’s Barclaycard Arena.
David Wooldridge has been named for the event, which takes place on January 17, for the second successive year.
An impressive 2015 saw him work alongside organisations such as Basketball England, Sports England, IWBF and BBL.
He was also one of the main announcers for the European Wheelchair Basketball Championships, in Worcester, earlier this year.
Wooldridge said: “I’m absolutely ecstatic to be chosen to once again host this amazing event.
“It has been a crazy year for me, which all started with this very event, so to be able to come full circle is one of the biggest achievements in my career so far.”
The Women’s BBL Trophy final is the pre-game to the men’s Cup final.
