TREVOR Setty believes Leicester Riders should be “fearful” of in-form Worcester Wolves when the two “juggernauts” meet tonight (7.30pm).

The 6ft 8in small forward has described the British Basketball League fixture as the “Mecca” for his side.

And Setty says he cannot wait to go into battle with the league leaders and newly-crowned BBL Trophy champions at the University of Worcester Arena.

“For me, this is like two juggernauts stepping on the court against each other,” said the 27-year-old.

“There are going to be a lot of words thrown around and a lot of fights. It is going to be fun.

“I am so excited for this game. This is why you put your jersey on and tie your shoe laces.

“This is the Mecca for us.”

Wolves are in scintillating form having won 10 of their last 12 games, including five successive league wins.

However, Worcester still remain in sixth position, 16 points behind Leicester, who have lost one game in the league campaign.

And Setty insists they have got to go in with an “underdog mentality” despite feeling like they are “the top dog”.

“Leicester are the top dog, so I don't want to take any credit from them,” said the American.

“They have been the top dog in the league for a while. I don’t know how many games they have lost, but it’s not many.

“I don’t know if they are fearful of us, but they should be and if they aren’t they will be at half-time.

“We have got to go in with the underdog mentality but knowing that we are the top dog at the same time.

“That might sound weird, but that’s how we feel. We don’t feel like the underdog, but we are.

“It is going to be interesting to see who shows up on the night.”
