WORCESTER Wolves women visit Mansfield Giants at Oak Tree Leisure Centre tomorrow for their final game of 2017 (4.30pm).

Wolves are third in English League Division Two North with Giants fifth in the six-team league.

In their last game before a weekend off, Worcester bounced back from a defeat with a 81-39 win over Nottingham Wildcats seconds.

Layla Hall, Chloe Hinett and Grace Brownell helped Wolves go 9-0 up.

Toma and Greta Pulokatie came off the bench to add points as Worcester led by eight at the end of the first quarter.

Wura Ijela got back-to-back baskets but Wildcats staged a mini fightback to be 15 down by half-time.

Plays from Jessie Rowlands and the Pulokatie twins along with fine rebounding by Rebecca Yamalimbu and Hall allowed Wolves to extend their advantage in the third quarter.

They kept up their intensity on defence and Shanice Turner made her return from injury.

Brownell scored 22 points in 17 minutes while Toma Pulokatie added 11 alongside five assists, five rebounds and five steals.

Captain Dalia Jakubaityte said: "The girls did a great job in defence. The press and trapping worked really well.

"We kept the intensity high, controlled the game and shared the ball."
