WORCESTER Wolves beat the British Basketball League’s transfer deadline by just a few hours to sign 26-year-old Belgian point-guard Veron Bin Tabu-Eboma.
The lightning-quick play-maker has years of European experience that includes playing in the Fiba Europe Cup with Dexia Mons-Hainaut as well as in the prestigious ULEB Cup for fellow Belgian club TEC Spirou Charleroi.
More recently, Tabu has suited up for ASC Mainz in Germany and Vevey Riviera of the Swiss league.
Wolves’ head coach Skouson Harker is excited by the club’s latest signing.
He said: “Veron has everything you want in a point-guard — speed, defensive quickness, court vision and poise. Hopefully he can mesh quickly with the rest of the team.”
Wolves continue their BBL Championship campaign with a match at Chester Jets tomorrow (5.30pm).
