RICHIE Gordon continues to earn recognition for Worcester Wolves by being named in the British Basketball League team-of-the-week for the third time this season.
The American centre is included in the exclusive quintet for his efforts during the victories over Newcastle Eagles and Glasgow Rocks last weekend.
Having helped Paul James’ side win 94-86 on Tyneside, Gordon’s exploits against the Rocks ensured Wolves kept their foot on the gas at the top of the table. He scored 18 points in the contest at the University of Worcester and also pulled down 11 rebounds to complete a stellar double-double, complimented by three assists and three steals.
Gordon was joined by Sheffield Sharks duo Jimmy Langhurst and Justin Dobbins, the latter a former Worcester player, as well as Paul Williams and Jeremy Bell of Plymouth Raiders.
Wolves forward Tommy Freeman, who scored 33 points against the Eagles and 23 in the Rocks success, was named among five players on the team-of-the-week bench.
