WORCESTER Wolves have again scooped British Basketball League accolades with both Richie Gordon and Tommy Freeman being named in the team of the week.
Centre Gordon, who picked up the prestigious player-of-the-month award on Tuesday, is in the starting five for the third week running.
The 6ft 9in American booked his place with an impressive 29 points and 16 rebounds in the 103-93 victory over Milton Keynes Lions, which lifted Wolves to joint top of the table.
Gordon has now assumed the mantle as the league’s leading player, having eclipsed Leicester Riders’ Ayron Hardy and Mychal Green of Glasgow Rocks.
Freeman, the 6ft 7in forward, earned his place in the team for the second time this season with a 26-point haul against the Lions, a display which also saw the former University of Ohio player land four triples and seven rebounds.
The pair are joined in the line-up by Leicester’s Cameron Rundles, James Jones, of Plymouth Raiders, and Glasgow’s Danny Huffor.
