WORCESTER Warriors full-back Chris Pennell won his first England cap when he came on for the last few minutes of the 20-15 defeat against the All Blacks in Eden Park, Auckland today.

England battled courageously to contain the world's top-rated international team and had exchanged penalties with them througn a pulsating game.

The match-winning try came just two minutes from time, however, when Conrad Smith dived over in the corner.

Aaron Cruden landed five penalties for New Zealand, while England's points cane from four kicks by Freddie Burns and a late Danny Cipriani penalty.
