WORCESTER Cavaliers fought back from 22-7 down at half-time to seal a dramatic 27-22 victory tonight against Sale Jets at Heywood Road in the Aviva ‘A’ League.

A brace of tries from Mat Gilbert inspired Cavaliers to a fourth successive win in the ‘A’ League competition.

Sale made a blistering start and opened up a 15-0 lead after just 19 minutes.

A try from Gilbert, converted by Tiff Eden, put Cavaliers on the scoreboard.

But Sale extended their lead with another converted try before the break.

Centre Ravai Fatiaki crashed over for Cavaliers in the second-half, with Eden converting.

Gilbert then grabbed his second try of the night, which Eden converted.

Fly-half Eden slotted two penalties to clinch a memorable victory for Worcester’s second string.
