WORCESTER Warriors director of rugby Dean Ryan has not ruled out a move for New Zealand sevens star Bryce Heem.

Speculation on fans websites and social media suggests the 26-year-old Super Rugby player could be on the verge of moving to Sixways.

Heem is playing at full-back for Chiefs after starring for Tasman Makos in their 2013 and 2014 ITM Cup campaigns, the highest level of New Zealand domestic professional rugby union.

Auckland-born Heem is also a team-mate of Matt Symons, the highly-rated lock and brother of Warriors centre Andy Symons.

In response to a question about Heem, Ryan said: “I am fully aware of him and he does interest me, but so do another million players across the Super 15. Like with anything we would announce a signing when we feel it’s the right time.”

Heem represented the All Blacks Sevens side from 2011 until he signed his contract with the Chiefs. The New Zealander clinched a silver medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games sevens in Glasgow.
