BRISTOL’S director of rugby, Andy Robinson, is confident his side have the firepower to topple Worcester Warriors tonight at Sixways (7.45pm).

Robinson has made five changes to Bristol’s starting line-up who slipped to a one-point loss at Ashton Gate seven days ago.

Nicky Robinson will start at fly-half in place of Matthew Morgan, the Championship’s player of the season.

It will be the final Bristol appearance for Robinson, a former Wasps and Gloucester player, who is joining French Top 14 side Oyonnax.

Robinson kicked 15 points in Bristol’s 30-26 success at Sixways in the final Championship game of the regular season a month ago.

Andy Robinson said: “It’s vital we go into the last 15 minutes of this game with it being a one-score game and we believe we have the firepower to go and win it.

“We have got confidence in what we are trying to achieve and we drew a lot of confidence from the second-half performance last week.”

Bristol were reduced to 13 men in the opening half of last week’s first leg after props Gaston Cortes and Anthony Perenise were sent to the sin-bin.

Bristol have made two changes at centre with Ben Mosses, who has scored twice against Warriors this term, replacing the injured Gavin Henson (broken shin).

Jack Tovey comes off the bench to play 13 instead of Gareth Maule, who is named among the replacements.

Second row Ben Glynn replaces Glen Townson and flanker Marco Mama comes in for the injured Ryan Jones (shoulder).

Olly Robinson comes on to the replacements bench as Bristol retain a four forwards and three backs split.

Boss Robinson said: “Defensively, we have to be a lot better in terms of the width of our defence and our completion of tackles.

“We were disappointed to end up as the losing side in the first leg but it’s was a one-point deficit and it’s something we believe we can make up.”

He added: “For 39 minutes in the second-half I thought we were very much the better side which shows our fitness is good and the quality of the bench was very positive.”
