COACH Ceri Jones is set to leave Worcester Warriors to re-join his hometown side Newport Gwent Dragons as forwards coach this summer.

Jones, who joined Warriors as a player in 2011, was added to the coaching set-up in 2013 and has helped nurture the club’s promising young forwards over the past couple of seasons.

But the former Wales international is now set to move back to Newport to coach his old club in the Guinness PRO12.

Jones said: "I've really enjoyed my time here at Sixways where I've made some great friends and unforgettable experiences.

"I'd like to thank everyone for their support over the past five years and wish the Club the best of luck in the years to come.

"The Warriors academy has a really bright future and there are some exciting prospects coming through the ranks."

Director of rugby Dean Ryan said: "I'd like to thank Ceri for his contribution in helping grow some of our younger players.

"He has played an important part of what we are trying to build at Worcester and we are very grateful for the support he has given us during his time at the club."
