TEENAGER Jamie Shillcock is set to make his Aviva Premiership debut on Saturday as depleted Worcester Warriors take on Bath at the Recreation Ground (3pm).

The 19-year-old has been handed a surprise starting spot at full-back in place of Jackson Willison who moves to inside centre.

It will be the former Warwick School pupil’s first appearance since coming on as a 17-year-old in the 2014/15 Greene King IPA Championship semi-final second leg against London Scottish.

Fly half Ryan Lamb, wing Cooper Vuna and centre Ben Te’o have all been ruled out, while Alafoti Fa’osiliva is suspended following his red card in Warriors’ 23-23 draw against Gloucester last Friday.

Perry Humphreys, who came off the bench to score a superb solo try in that game, has been rewarded with a place on the wing.

With Lamb unavailable, Tom Heathcote gets his first start of the season alongside scrum half Jonny Arr.

Dean Hammond starts on the wing, while Wynand Olivier and Jackson Willison complete the midfield partnership.

The pack sees one change with flanker Carl Kirwan replacing Fa’osiliva as Phil Dowson keeps the captaincy with GJ van Velze still side-lined. Fly-half Tiff Eden and Academy winger Josh Adams are called up to the replacements along with Fiji’s Tevita Cavubati.

Head coach Carl Hogg said: “We’ve got to make sure we get the right levels of endeavour and energy on the weekend and test ourselves against a good side.

“We’ve always said we’re a side that wanted to create opportunities and someone like Perry took his with both hands last week.

“Some of these guys have been propelled into the Premiership quicker than anticipated but it’s about exposing them to the highest level and ultimately whether they can grasp that opportunity."
