WARRIORS’ side Worcester Sixth Form College made the AASE League play-offs after they defeated Northampton Saints’ Moulton College 36-27.

They endured their first loss of the season the week before against Saracens’ Oaklands College but bounced back to make it four wins from five.

In a thrilling game where both teams took the lead numerous times, the fitness of Worcester proved too strong as they scored twice in the last five minutes to complete the win.

Tries from George Radburn, Cael Hodgson, Isaac Blake-Mills, Rob Lester, Navarre Haisila Lokotui and Charlie Gamble, plus three conversions from Jake Leonard, secured the victory.

The final league match before the play-offs takes place on Wednesday against Newcastle Falcons’ Gosforth Academy on the main Sixways pitch (3pm).

AASE manager Ryan Watkins said: “The latest win was probably one of the most exciting AASE games I’ve seen.

“The attacking rugby from both teams was outstanding but our whole forward pack deserved credit.

“Their work at the set-piece and support play was outstanding and this gave the backs a really good platform to attack.

“The lads are now looking forward to playing on the big stage on Wednesday at Sixways and we’d like to see as many people as possible coming down to support the boys.”
