THERE are injury concerns for Ben Te’o after he sustained a blow to his ankle in Worcester Warriors’ 30-20 victory over Brive in European Challenge Cup.

The England centre looked in discomfort when he left the field inside the opening three minutes after being tackled by prop Vivien Devisme.

Head coach Carl Hogg admitted it was a “concern” and said Te’o would undergo further tests to discover the extent of the injury.

Te’o will be hoping it is not serious with England’s autumn internationals less than a month away.

“Ben got his ankle caught underneath him in the tackle,” Hogg said.

“I have not got a medical update yet so until we get the facts I can’t really expand.

“We will assess it later on this evening and then in the morning when we will get a better understanding of what we are working with.

“It is obviously a concern that he has come off three minutes into the game, but until we know what we are dealing with it is wrong to speculate.”

Lock Christian Scotland-Williamson was forced off with a shoulder problem while his replacement Darren Barry suffered a bang to the head late on.

"Christian had a shoulder stinger so hopefully that settles down in the next couple of days," Hogg added.

"Darren came off for a head injury assessment (HIA).

"It happened at the tale end of the game, so I am not sure (of the result of the HIA) yet."
