TEAM NEWS...

Bedford Blues: Thrower; Short, Dodge, Bedford, Pritchard; Dorrian, Veenendaal; Walsh, Clark, Seal, Tomes, Rae, Gillanders, Harding, Wray. Replacements: Locke, Ovens, Boulton, Howard, Goodman, Chudley, Sharp.

Warriors: Arscott; Garvey, Short, Rasmussen, Benjamin; Goode, Arr, C Black, Lutui, Taumoepeau, Kitchener, Gillies, Best, Collins, Horstmann. Replacements: Shervington, Douglas, Rawlinson, Balding, Williams, Carlisle, Walker.

HALF-TIME...

It's been a cagey opening 40 minutes, with Bedford probably creating the better opportunities, but Warriors have more possession.

Warriors fly-half Andy Goode and Bedford wing James Pritchard twice traded penalties in the first 15 minutes.

Blues captain Pritchard then gave his side a 9-6 lead, but Goode levelled once again with a well-taken drop-goal.

FULL-TIME....

Well, Warriors left it late to seal victory, but they won 28-18 at Bedford to make it eight Championship wins out of eight.

Andy Goode bagged a personal total of 23 points, including a last-minute drop-goal to put Warriors 21-18 ahead.

However, there was still time for Marcel Garvey to snaffle an interception and coast over beneath the posts to give Goode the simple conversion.
