FULL-TIME: Worcester Warriors 21-23 Cornish Pirates

FULL-TIME....

Warriors' second-half fightback wasn't enough as they went down to a 23-21 home defeat to Cornish Pirates.

A full match report will be in tomorrow's Worcester News.

HALF-TIME...

WARRIORS have just produced a terrible 40 minutes of rugby - their worst half of the season by far.

They trail 14-0 to tries from Pirates skipper Kyle Marriott and outside-centre Matt Hopper and it could have been even worse as the visitors have gone close on several other occasions.

Andy Goode has missed two kickable penalties, but it is Warriors' propensity to waste attacking positions at will and needless turn-overs that will have Richard Hill turning the air blue during the interval.

Plenty to be done if Worcester are to maintain their winning run.

SHIVER me timbers, the Pirates are in town for tonight's match (8pm) and it's not just the timbers that are shivering - it's freezing here at Sixways!

The Cornish outfit have made the long journey up the M5 and are ready to try and end Worcester Warriors' eight-match winning start to the Championship season.

Clicking on the link above takes you to my Twitter page where I'll be doing my best to keep you up to date with the action.
