FULL-TIME...

WARRIORS survive a nervy ending to secure a 33-29 Championship victory over London Welsh at Old Deer Park.

It was an improved showing from Richard Hill's men, who played their part in an entertaining game, but there is still plenty of room for improvement.

Welsh took the lead in the 67th minute through Michael Hills' converted score, but two late Andy Goode penalties ensure an away win.

HALF-TIME...

Warriors lead 17-12 at the interval after tries from Pat Sanderson and Miles Benjamin as well as seven points from Joe Carlisle's boot.

London Welsh could be ahead, though, as kicker Aled Thomas has missed two penalites in addition to the four he has slotted.

For Warriors, flanker Pat Sanderson is one of five changes in the pack as Richard Hill freshens up his side for the trip to the capital.

Experienced lock Craig Gillies returns in the second row, Ed Shervington and Bruce Douglas will pack down in the front row, while Kai Horstmann returns at number eight and will captain the side.

Tom Arscott also returns at full-back and a new half-back combination will see Joe Carlisle and Andy Williams link up.
