FULL-TIME: London Welsh 20-22 Worcester Warriors

FULL-TIME...

IN a thrilling finale, Warriors held on for victory to secure a home semi-final in the Championship play-offs.

Gordon Ross had a last-kick shot at goal to win it for the hosts, but his effort came up short and Warriors took the points.

Errie Claassens gave Worcester a sign of what's to come next season with a fine try to put the game in the balance, but Andy Goode's boot managed to keep Warriors ahead.

HALF-TIME...

WARRIORS lead 16-10 at the interval after a cagey opening 40 minutes.

The visitors took the early initiative with a Marcel Garvey try from Andy Goode's cute grubber-kick, which the stand-off converted.

The Dragons replied with a converted Hudson Tonga'uiha score, while Goode added three penalties to Gordon Ross' one.

Recalled Andy Goode has been tasked with the mission of steering Worcester Warriors towards a home Championship semi-final with a victory against the Dragons.

Former England international Goode, who has scored more than 300 points for Warriors this season and has 10 tries in 25 games, links up with scrum-half Jonny Arr at half-back.

Head coach Richard Hill also makes changes in his pack with a new-look heavyweight front row of Adam Black, Chris Fortey and Tevita Taumoepeau.

Kai Horstmann continues to captain the team in the absence of Chris Pennell, while Aleki Lutui and Bruce Douglas provide front row firepower from the replacements bench.

Fans will also be able to run the rule over two future Worcester players as South African full-back Errie Claassens, who has been confirmed as moving to Warriors in the summer, and Josh Drauniniu, who's Sixways switch will be confirmed next week, start on either wing for the hosts.

Warriors: Arscott; Garvey, Crockett, Rasmussen, Benjamin; Goode, Arr; A Black, Fortey, Taumoepeau, Kitchener, Gillies, Best, Kvesic, Horstmann. Reps: Lutui, Douglas, Rawlinson, Balding, Frost, Carlisle, Grove.
