TEENAGE back-row forward Huw Taylor has been chosen in this season’s England Under 20s elite player squad.

The 18-year-old Worcester Warriors player will compete in the under 20s Six Nations Championship in the new year.

Taylor, who plays number eight, has made two appearances for Warriors’ first team this term, including Saturday’s 27-23 win against Munster ‘A’ in the British and Irish Cup.

He said: “It is an exciting opportunity and it will allow me to push myself in an international environment alongside the best young players in the country.

“I feel my game has developed a lot this season thanks to all the support of the club’s backroom staff and I will be continuing to work hard to progress further.”

The 32-man England group will kick off their Six Nations campaign against Wales at Colwyn Bay on February 7.

England wind up the campaign against France on March 20 before heading to Italy to defend their IRB Junior World Championship trophy next June.
