WORCESTER Warriors lock James Percival has joined FC Grenoble in France’s Top 14.

The experienced Percival, who progressed through Warriors’ academy, was a key figure in Worcester’s thrilling promotion play-off triumph against Bristol last month.

He also helped Warriors to victory in the British and Irish Cup final.

Percival has signed a one-season deal with the French club.

The former Harlequins and Northampton Saints player had two stints at Warriors, including a four-year spell after returning to Sixways in June 2011.

He captained the RFU Championship XV who beat Canada in November.

Worcester are returning to the Aviva Premiership after one season in the Greene King IPA Championship.
