POWERHOUSE prop Ofa Fainga’anuku has been released by Worcester Warriors after two seasons at the club.

Fainga’anuku, who moved to Sixways from Glasgow Warriors in the summer of 2013 and played 31 times, is looking for a new club.

The Sixways outfit will not be issuing a list of players who are out of contract at the club.

The New Zealand-born player made 11 appearances for Worcester last term, including 66 minutes of the club’s British and Irish Cup triumph at Doncaster Knights in April.

Fainga’anuku scored his only try for Worcester against Sale Sharks in the Aviva Premiership in November 2013 and went on to claim the number one shirt in the second half of the 2013/14 campaign.

Fainga’anuku, who grew up in Melbourne, represented Tonga in the 2011 Churchill Cup, when he played against England Saxons at Sixways, and made his full Test debut against Fiji in June 2012.

That earned him a short-term deal at Glasgow from where former Worcester head coach Richard Hill picked him up as a replacement for Matt Mullan.

He played for Tonga last year in Fiji for the Pacific Nations Cup.

The front-row has previously had spells with Super Rugby franchise Waratahs and featured for the Central Coast Rays and Eastern Suburbs in Sydney, Australia.
