WORCESTER Warriors’ ‘frustrated” players will get their opportunity in Saturday’s European Challenge Cup clash against La Rochelle at Sixways (3pm).

Warriors face the French Top 14 club in their European curtain-raiser with holders Gloucester and Italian side Zebre also in pool four.

Centre Max Stelling, scrum- half Luke Baldwin and flanker Carl Kirwan may be pressing for starts after failing to feature in Worcester’s first four Premiership fixtures.

“There’s a lot of people who want a chance and I have got to give it to them,” said director of rugby Dean Ryan.

“We get a chance to give some of the frustrated members of the squad an opportunity.

“I am not doing it in any other way than creating opportunities for players. We had just two games in pre- season, which is unheard of.

“We have had a lot of people come in and they have not even had a pre-season game.

"If they had a knock in pre-season, they wouldn’t haven’t yet played for the club.

“A lot of people want to play and to be in that changing room on Saturday. I will provide as many of them as possible with an opportunity to show me where they are at.”
