Atlantique Stade Rochelais are more commonly known as La Rochelle Rugby Club.
La Rochelle gained promotion to France's top tier two seasons ago and finished ninth last term. They are ninth in Top 14 after winning three from eight league games.
- The club was founded in 1898 and play at Stade Marcel-Deflandre (capacity 12,500).The stadium is named after Marcel Deflandre, the president of the club which was born of the fusion between the rugby league and rugby union clubs during World War Two.
- La Rochelle’s squad includes France international prop Uini Atonio (below), who featured at the World Cup and played in the 2015 Six Nations.
- Alofa Alofa (below) is a New Zealand-Australian Samoan winger, who goes by the nickname of bread.
