LOCK Tevita Cavubati says he’s raring to get out on the field again in Worcester Warriors’ final Aviva Premiership games against Leicester Tigers and defending champions Saracens.

The second row has returned from a nine-week ban after biting an opponent in Warriors’ 20-13 Aviva Premiership defeat to London Irish in February.

Cavubati made an impressive comeback off the bench in last Saturday’s 54-35 defeat at high-flying Wasps on Sixways.

The Fijian almost battered his way to the try-line, and despite only playing 30 minutes, he was among the league’s top stats in offloads (three) and defenders beaten (four).

He said: “I was so excited to get on to the pitch. All I wanted was to get my hands on the ball at every opportunity.

“I had a couple of good runs and remember looking at the try-line and wanting to reach out but I got caught just short.

“I’ve missed playing and now I just want to give it my all. It’s great to be back and I’m so excited to play more rugby.”

The 6ft 7in giant explained that he’d been working hard on his conditioning while not in match action, and now feels fresher and fitter than ever.

He said: “I’ve been working really hard on my power and speed, doing lots of weights and conditioning work in the gym.

“The time away from playing has meant I’ve been able to recoup and I’m ready to go again.

“After working very closely with the backroom staff to make sure I can be in the best place possible, I feel much stronger and fitter than ever.”

Warriors’ next encounter is against title-chasing Leicester at Welford Road on April 30 (3pm) and they wind up their campaign against Saracens on May 7 (3.30pm).
