WORCESTER Warriors are raising a glass to director of rugby Dean Ryan after he reached a special milestone.

The former England international turned 50 today and Warriors’ players and staff have come together to celebrate his birthday.

Head coach Carl Hogg, flanker Matt Cox and lock Donncha O’Callaghan led the celebrations by presenting him with a card.

Although experiencing relegation in his first season at the club, Ryan, who took over the reins at Sixways in 2013, guided Warriors back to the Aviva Premiership in 2015.

He also won the British and Irish Cup that year and steered his side to a club-record four successive top flight wins as they finished last season in 10th place.
