FLY-HALF Connor Braid has joined Worcester Warriors until the end of the season.

The 26-year-old back, who can also play in the centre or the back three, will join up with the squad following Canada’s match with Samoa on Friday.

Braid has been capped 21 times by his country, with his latest coming last weekend in Canada’s clash with Romania.

An able goal-kicker, Braid has played for Canada on the World Sevens circuit and featured for Glasgow Warriors during the 2014/15 season.

The stand-off also spent time on loan at London Scottish and counts Doncaster Knights as a former club.

Warriors head coach Carl Hogg said: “With recent injuries to Ryan Lamb and Tom Heathcote, we’re delighted Connor is able to come in and bolster the side in the number 10 position.

“He has plenty of experience in goal-kicking while his versatility across the backline will also be of great benefit.”

Braid added: “I’m thrilled to be joining Worcester and I can’t wait to get out on the pitch to show what I can do.”

The Canadian has returned to international contention with Canada from a year-long hiatus taken following the 2015 World Cup.
